The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the Group-VII B Exam to select individuals for Executive Officer, Grade-III
I. Steps/Stages in the Selection Process:
i) Group-VII A will be of 3 Papers:
The minimum mark to be scored by the candidate:
– the minimum mark to be scored on Paper 1 (Part A) (60/150) mark
– the mark to be scored on Paper (Part B), Paper 2, Paper 3 & interview: (255/850) marks for the Reserved category and (340/850) marks for Other categories
ii) To qualify for Part A of Paper 1, candidates must achieve a minimum of 60 marks, which is 40% of the total score of 150. However, it’s important to note that the marks obtained in Part A of Paper 1 will not be considered for the evaluation of answer sheets for Paper 1 (Part B), Paper 2, and Paper 3 will only take place if candidates meet the minimum mark requirement in Part A.

Please note that candidates who obtain a degree in distance education must have already passed SSLC (10th) and then Higher Secondary (+2). If you get a degree in distance education after passing SSLC (10th exam), you will face disqualification.
III. Scale of Pay:
The pay scale for the TNPSC Group VII B position is as follows:
Rs.20,600 to Rs.75,900 (Level-10).
Application Fees:
One-time Registration Fee: Rs.150/- (it’s valid for 5 years)
Written Exam Fee: Rs.100/-

IV. Certificates to be submitted are the following:
- SSLC/HSC Certificate (Date of Birth Verification)
- Priority Selection for Tamil Medium (PSTM) Certificate(Who studied in Tamil Medium)
- Disability Certificate(For PH candidates)
- No Objection Certificate
- Additional Supporting Documents for Reservation
- Educational Certificates (as specified in the application)
- Community Certificate-Typewriting/Shorthand Certificates
- Typewriting/Shorthand Certificate
Note: The requirement for selection under the PSTM quota is that the candidate should have studied in Tamil Medium from SSLC, 12th, and degree.
V. Id and Photographs needed:
- 1. Your Photo with your signature on it should be uploaded – (165×123) pixels in dimension, and below 50 kb in jpg format
- 2. A scanned copy of signatures should be uploaded – (80×125) pixels dimension, and below 20 kb in jpg format.
- 3. A scanned image of the left thumb imprint to be uploaded – below 50 kb in jpg format.
- 4. Candidates are required to submit Identification Documents such as Aadhar, driver’s license, PAN card, passport, or voter in the application and they must also carry the hard copy of the ID which is uploaded, along with their hall ticket on the day of the Exam.
VI. Documents needed for verification after being selected in Group-VII B:
- Educational Qualification Certificates: Your SSLC (10th) certificate, your higher secondary (12th) certificate and your graduation certificate for Age proof
- Community Certificate: To specify your community as (SC, ST, OBC, & others)
- Nativity Certificate (if necessary): If you’re claiming to be a resident of Tamil Nadu, submit a nativity certificate.
- Differently Abled Certificate (For physically handicapped candidates): If you have a disability, include a certificate to ensure it.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC): If you have a current job, get an NOC from your employer.
- ID Proof: Show a valid photo ID like an Aadhar card, voter ID, passport, or driver’s license.
- Photographs in passport size: Attach recent photos (colour) as instructed.
- Payment Receipt: As a proof of application fee payment
- Self-Declaration Form: Complete a form saying you don’t have any criminal history and disciplinary actions
- Other Supporting Documents: These are mentioned in the official notice, like experience certificates (if needed)
- Two copies of the conduct certificate are to be submitted
