The Gandhi Fellowship, organized by the Piramal Foundation (NGO), is for graduates and postgraduate students. It aims to support the overall development and growth of each fellow, concentrating on strengthening their leadership qualities. Those selected will receive a monthly stipend, ranging from INR 25,000 to 28,000, covering all expenses, depending on the location. This Scholarship can be availed by the students of Tamil Nadu.
Eligibility of the Gandhi Fellowship
To qualify, an applicant must:
– Be aged between 18-26 years.
– Demonstrate excellence in academics and extracurricular activities, such as sports, NCC, NSS, voluntary work, performing arts, debate, literature, etc.
– Exhibit a sense of awareness and concern for the critical issues facing the nation.
– Hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in diverse fields like Engineering, Applied and Pure Science, Commerce, Management, Humanities and Liberal Arts, Social Work, Psychology and Behavioral Science, Mathematics, Journalism and Mass Communication, Education, or Law.
Benefits of the Gandhi Fellowship
- Grant selected candidates a monthly stipend ranging from INR 25,000 to 28,000, covering all expenses, depending on the location.
- Hold a portion of the stipend, specifically INR 7,000 per month, as an interest-free reserve amount.
- To pay out the cumulative reserve amount at the end of the fellowship term and upon successful completion. This supports Gandhi Fellowship graduates in pursuing their choices, such as initiating social enterprises individually or collaboratively with other fellows, gaining international learning exposure, or pursuing specialized higher studies aligned with their hopes.
