How to get Charpak Master’s Program

Campus France India, a government agency under the French Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, conducts the Charpak Master’s Program. It provides opportunities for students currently enrolled or having studied for a master’s degree at an Indian institution. Successful candidates in the Charpak Master’s Program will receive a monthly living allowance of 860 euros, along with other benefits.

Eligibility of Charpak Master’s Program 

  • To qualify, applicants must be Indian nationals or hold an OCI card, with a maximum age of 30.
  • They should be currently enrolled or have studied at an Indian Institution of Higher Learning.
  • Applying to a French institution before the scholarship application is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in the French language is a requirement.
  • Notably, individuals pursuing a master’s 1 (M1) in France without a scholarship are ineligible for this opportunity.

Documents needed to apply for Charpak Master’s Program 2023

  • Submit a passport-size photograph.
  • Include a scanned copy of your passport’s first page, displaying the photo and expiry date. If the passport will be obtained after the deadline, provide proof of the passport application.
  • Provide a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae, limited to a maximum of 2 pages.
  • Submit a scanned admission letter from a French institution; if not received by the deadline, attach an email indicating the ongoing process.
  • Attach scanned copies of mark sheets and degrees from Higher Secondary School (Class 12), Bachelor’s, and Master’s levels, covering completed semesters of the ongoing degree.
  • Provide a French language certificate, if available (DELF/DALF).
  • Include a document outlining employment/internship records if applicable.
  • Attach scanned, signed, and typed recommendation letters from the current or last institution on letterhead with a stamp.

  • After successful registration, log in with valid credentials and complete the necessary information.
  • Upload the required supporting documents and submit the application.
