The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) is offering the Fulbright Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowships for the academic year 2024-25. This fellowship is open to Ph.D./master’s degree holders and seeks to enable Indian faculty, researchers, and professionals to engage in teaching, research, or a combination of both at institutions in the United States. Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend along with other benefits.
Eligibility of Fulbright Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowships
To qualify for the fellowship, applicants must:
1. Hold nationality in either India or the U.S.
2. Possess a Ph.D. degree with a minimum of five years of pertinent teaching, research, or professional experience (for faculty and researchers).
3. Hold a master’s degree and have at least five years of relevant experience (for professionals outside academia).

The selected fellows will receive the following benefits:

Please note: contingent upon fund availability, grantees on eight or nine-month grants may be eligible for a dependent allowance and international travel for one accompanying eligible dependent. This is provided that the dependent is present with the grantee in the U.S. for at least 80 per cent of the grant period.

7. Secure the employer’s endorsement on the FNAPE Letter of Support from the Home Institution if currently employed.

6. Enter the received pin via email to activate the account and create a password to finish the process.
