The British Council Scholarships, in collaboration with 26 UK universities, is presenting the Scholarships for Women in STEM for master’s degree applicants. The initiative aims to enhance opportunities in STEM fields for girls and women. Successful candidates will receive grants covering tuition fees, stipends, and additional benefits.
Eligibility of British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM
- The applicant must be a female to qualify for the scholarship. She should possess a passport and hold permanent residency in India or other eligible countries. The candidate must have obtained admission to a course of study in the UK for the academic year from September/October.
- For the master’s level, she should have an undergraduate degree that enables access to one of the pre-selected postgraduate courses at a UK university. For early academic fellowships, completion of all components of a PhD in the last three years is required. The applicant must demonstrate a financial need for support.
- Additionally, she must attain the required level of English proficiency for postgraduate study/research at a UK university. Active engagement in the field with work experience or a proven interest in the respective subject area is also a requirement.

Benefits of British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM
– Successful candidates will receive comprehensive financial support, covering tuition fees, stipends, travel expenses, and visa and health coverage fees.
– Additionally, special assistance will be extended to mothers, and English language support (IELTS) will be provided.
